
Christine Zayed is a Palestinian Arab musician known for her versatile experience in Arabic and Middle Eastern music. As an expert singer, composer, and virtuoso Qanun player, she brings over 20 years of musical experience, deeply rooted in classical Arabic music, Maqam (Middle Eastern modes), Taqaseem (instrumental improvisation), and Mawwal (vocal improvisation).
Christine has developed her unique and distinguished sound by blending traditional and modern forms of music. Her album, Kama Kuntu, produced by the label T-Recs in 2024, illustrates this fusion,showcasing the beauty and complexity of her music.
Christine values collaborations with others, especially in other art forms. As a prolific composer for cinema, she won an award in 2023 for her original music in Un jeudi pour Darwin, directed by Mathieu Baillargeon, and has composed for award-winning short films like Sokrania 59 and Dinar.
